Malaysia Airlines (MH) is the national flag carrier of Malaysia. Originally founded in 1947 (as Malayan Airways) and re‑formed in 1972, it operates under the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), owned by Khazanah Nasional. The airline is headquartered at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, Selangor, which also serves as its main hub. Malaysia Airlines operates scheduled passenger and cargo services to around 69 destinations across Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. It is a member of the oneworld airline alliance and is recognized for its high-quality service and modern fleet.

Class of Travel

Business Class –Features lie-flat seats, priority services, fine dining, and lounge access.

Economy Class –Offers comfortable seating, personal entertainment, halal meals, and good value for travelers.

Baggage Allowance

Economy Class – 1 carry-on bag up to 7 kg; checked baggage allowance varies by fare type and route.

Business Class – Up to 2 carry-on bags (total ~14 kg) and generous checked baggage depending on fare and Enrich tier.

Frequent Flyer Programme

Enrich is Malaysia Airlines’ frequent flyer programme. Members earn Enrich Points for redemptions and Elite Points for tier status.

Tiers: Blue → Silver → Gold → Platinum

• From January 2026, points earning rates and tier requirements have been updated: Silver, Gold, and Platinum members earn more points per MYR spent.

In-flight Services

• All meals onboard are halal, with special dietary meals available if pre-booked at least 24 hours before departure.
• Alcoholic beverages are served on flights over 3 hours for passengers aged 21+, but personal alcohol is not allowed.
• In-flight entertainment includes movies, TV shows, and music on demand on selected aircraft.
• Special assistance is available for unaccompanied minors (5–15 years) and other passengers with specific needs, with prior request.

Passengers can check in online via the Malaysia Airlines website (“Manage My Booking”) or at the airport. Check-in times vary depending on route and fare.
